Beech Lodge, with Hot Tub, looking out over fields towards Dartmoor
Beech Lodge is the largest of our three wooden lodges, sleeping 6 in a double room, a twin room and a bunk room. This lodge has a Hot Tub (optional, for a £25 charge).
The lodge has trees on three sides, and two verandas. The main veranda looks south over grassland where owls often hunt in at dusk and butterflies abound in summer. A smaller veranda, which catches the morning sun, overlooks the Hot Tub and leads off the master bedroom. Blending with its surroundings outside, inside Beech Lodge is light and airy while staying warm and comfortable. It’s a great place for your relaxing self-catering holiday in Devon.
RECENTLY RENOVATED BEECH LODGE
Beech Lodge had a refit at the beginning of 2018. We added a Hot Tub outside. Inside the lodge we rearranged the bedrooms to make the master bedroom a real feature. It’s now flooded with light and has sliding glass doors to a private enclosed veranda. If you’ve stayed at Beech Lodge before and are wondering how we achieved this, we’ve swopped the main and twin rooms around. These other bedrooms have also been re-vamped. The twin has new handmade beds and refurbished furniture and fittings. The bunk room has new re-designed bunk beds that make the room feel bigger and more airy.
The main living area has brand new and much larger windows to the meadow, making the whole lodge much lighter and improving the views. The kitchen has had an upgrade too.
In the lodge kitchen there is a microwave and conventional (electric) oven, induction hob, kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. In the living area you’ll find a flat screen TV and cd/DVD player. Beds will be made up and towels provided.

At And Near Wheatland Farm
A short walk up the road takes you to a great farm shop on the neighbouring farm. Winkleigh village is a mile and half away and has good pubs, a small convenience store and several other shops including a good butcher.
Your dogs are welcome with us! There’s plenty of space for them to romp, and we can recommend great walks nearby.
After a great day exploring Devon, relax on the veranda, watch the birds on the feeders, play volleyball / badminton on the mown court, or just enjoy a BBQ near the camp fire site.
