Wheatland Farm, Devon

Wheatland Farm is a tranquil haven of 21 acres managed for Devon’s wildlife and your low carbon holiday. The farm has just 5 places to stay, with an absolute maximum of 26 guests, and has twice won Visit England’s top award for sustainable tourism. Because we’re not a conventional farm there’s plenty of space for you: you’ll find boats on the biggest pond, mown paths through the meadows, benches with views, campfire spots, space to let your dog off the lead, an outdoor chess table and badminton lawn, fishing, room for the kids to run off some energy, free bikes to borrow, etc etc…

Holiday with your Dog in Devon

Your dogs will enjoy their Wheatland Farm holiday too!  Dogs are welcome everywhere on our Devon farm except Popehouse Moor Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).  There’s usually places where they can be off the lead, especially around the lodges and cottage. We can tell you about good dog walks and even lend you maps.

About us

The Wheatland Farm Story

Wheatland Farm is an ongoing conservation project, and you become part of that when you stay. No, you don’t need to get muddy (though you can if you want!) — it’s your Devon eco lodge holiday that makes it possible to manage this patch of countryside for wildlife rather than food. So you’ll see more birds and butterflies than cropsprayers and cowsheds.
