It was a lovely evening for a cycle ride and a spot of bird watching! We invited George along but he declined. Maybe we weren’t quite specific enough about the wildlife location.
This is a ride we often do, out to Iddesleigh and back – almost all on Devon lanes. It takes about an hour normally, but this time we thought we deserved a breather half way through. The Duke of York in Iddesleigh is a popular Devon thatched pub, and not just with the people. There were house martins nesting in the eaves, swallows swooping by, and swifts scything across the blue skies. Lovely!
