You're close to excellent fishing when you stay at our Devon lodges and cottage.

Only 3 miles away is Stafford Moor fisheries, one of the best known coarse fishing sites in the West Country. They issue day tickets and have a number of lakes to fish.

Fishing holidays in Devon

The season is quite long, with salmon  in season from February to mid-December if you look around. River trout are available from mid March to mid October, and private fisheries and reservoirs provide all year round angling if you're just itching to cast that fly!
The area around Wheatland Farm offers a huge choice of game fishing. Lovely wild brown trout on Dartmoor and Exmoor (with free fishing on Meldon reservoir). Salmon and sea-trout on the Taw and the Torridge, rainbow trout on some of the reservoirs - it's all out there amongst the delightful Devon scenery. Day tickets are often available for salmon and sea-trout on the nearby river Taw - just ask for details.

And if your kids (or you) just want to 'have a go' you can fish our farm pond for free. This is probably our biggest fish, hooked by Fishbones (yes, his real name), in July 09.

Remember, anyone over 12 needs an Environment Agency rod licence wherever you choose to fish.
Fly fishing on the Taw through the Fox and Hounds in Eggesford, just 4 miles away.
