The Dartmoor National Parks Authority organise guided walks - here are some 'this side of Dartmoor' for our self-catering accommodation during December 2011. Please note, unfortunately you can't take your dog on these walks.
Sunday 11 December 10:30: 2.5hr Walk, Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust Conservation Task (Postbridge) Join the DPHT with some constructive destruction as you get fit before the Christmas festivities with Christmas tree removal and molinia raking. Fun for all the family at this event. Postbridge is about 28 miles from the cottage and lodges.
26 December
11:30: 3.5hr Walk, Boxing Day Walk to the East Dart Falls (Postbridge) Join our traditional Boxing Day walk to the East Dart falls and blow off the cob webs. Guide B Kocziban Distance 5m/8km £7.
Saturday 31December 14:00: 3hr Walk, Watch the Sun Go Down On 2011 (Haytor, Lower Car Park) A circular walk taking in points of interest as we see the last rays of light fade on 2011. Guide D Jenkin Distance 4m/6.4km £5.50. Haytor is about 30 miles from your accommodation.
