clapper bridge at Bellever Plantation, North Dartmoor

On 8 August at 10:30 you can  join a 1.5hr 'Good For You' Dartmoor Guided Stroll leaving Haytor, Lower Car Park. This will be a gentle informative walk around the Haytor area. Haytor lower car park is below the rocks on the B3387 Widecombe-Bovey Tracey road, about 30 miles away from the farm. Turn up and pay the guide £1.50.

On 12 August at 14:00 there's a 2hr Dartmoor Guided Activity at Bellever. Wellies, Water and Wildlife -- discover more about the creepy crawlies to be found in Dartmoor's rivers and streams. Costs £3.50 per child aged 14 or under. Accompanying adults go free. Meet in the Forestry Commission car park near Bellever. Turn off the B3212 Mortonhampstead to Two Bridges road towards Bellever just after Postbridge.  It's about a mile down this road (and about 28 from our Devon farm).

On Sunday 21 August join a 2.5hr Dartmoor Guided Walk, leaving Postbridge at 10:30. Join the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust (DPHT) to discover more about this icon of the National Park as it celebrates its 60th Anniversary.  You'll hear about how the Dartmoor Pony has played a key role in the development of the Dartmoor landscape you see today and how it continues to be used for conservation grazing not only on Dartmoor but in other parts of the country. Costs £5.50. Meet at the Postbridge information centre on the B3212 (you can't miss it). Postbridge is about 28 miles from your holiday accommodation.

On Saturday 27 August a 4hr Dartmoor Guided Walk sets off from Postbridge at 10:30. Enjoy a lunch stop at the famous East Dart Falls as part of this walk.  Guide B Kocziban. Costs £7. Meet at the Postbridge information centre on the B3212 (you can't miss it). Postbridge is about 28 miles from your holiday accommodation.
