These pictures are mostly for Lynne Kenderdine at the Devon Wildlife Trust, who wanted to know how the moor was doing after the mammoth day of scrub bashing the Trust and Natural England did for us back in January. So here's a big before (7 Jan) and after (3 May) image - hover with the mouse to get the later image.

It certainly did get muddy, but it's recovering well. The pipit nest was in this section of grassland, and orchids are springing back up. If the ground recovers enough we might get the cows down this far later in the summer, but we'll see how that goes....
