Midwinter! A milestone, and with a dusting of snow. This morning the barn owl was hunting around the ponds at 9am. I keep meaning to leave it the mouse I trapped in the understairs cupboard - sadly not caught before said mouse had nibbled the Christmas pud.

I put the mouse in the freezer - but if I defrost him and put him on a post, will he re-freeze before the owl found finds him? It's certainly cold out there.
