Lady's Smock
19 April 2008

We're pround to have gold level approval from the Devon Wildlife Trust. Click here for more on our environmental policies.
Lady's smock, or cuckoo flower is blooming in the reserve again - and the spring butterflies are back. I've already seen small tortoiseshell, peacock, and speckled wood butterlfies, all woken up from their winter sleep.

And with the cuckoo flower in bloom, the next one I'm looking for will the the orange tip - its larvae eat lady's smock and it usually flies from April until June.
