A hedgehog in the garden...
A hedgehog in the garden - only the second time we've seen one, not that we're out there looking al that often. Muttley found this one and sent it into a ball, from which is us just emerging here...

Hedgehogs are not as common as they used to be, and many county wildlife trusts, including our Devon Wildlife Trust, welcome records of sightings, whether squashed on the road or alive. If you see one, remember where, so you can look up the grid reference and submit your record. For Devon you go to this page.

And if you want to see much better photos, including baby hedgehogs, read Charlie Fleming's post on hedgehogs in his garden here.

If you find a sick or injured hedgehog, you may be able to find someone to help you care for it through the British Hedgehog Preservation Society
We're pround to have gold level approval from the Devon Wildlife Trust. Click here for more on our environmental policies.
