Surely this can't be right! It was odd enough when the primroses I'd transplanted into a border outside the cottage started flowering in November, but when I spotted this daffodil down by the stocking pond on 10 December......

Cut flowers being flown in from Africa? Apples we can grow ourselves supplied instead from New Zealand and Chile? Daffs in December? Has the world has gone a crazy?
