Bogbean in flower...
Bogbean is flowering again - one of my favourite plants. It should be happy this year as it likes really wet ground and we've cleared the willow away from around it. That means the trees won't be drawing the water out of the soil.

Bogbean's common comes name from its leaves, which look a bit like bean shoots  coming up. Today when I went to look in our 'bog' there are lots of leaves, but just 2 flowers. Everything seems slow this year though. Our bluebells are only just out, and there are still banks of primroses under the trees.
