The bluebells are out in the wood, but in the garden I've been grubbing up the remnants of previous owners' Spanish bluebells. They're pretty, but hybridisation between the two species may well be threatening our own more delicate native flower. Did you know, the UK has 50% of the world's native bluebell population? We need to be looking after them!
