Beech Lodge is the largest of our three wooden lodges, sleeping 6-8 in a double room, a twin room and a bunk room, with double sofa bed in the spacious living area. The lodge has trees on three sides, and a wrap-around veranda overlooking grassland where owls often hunt in at dusk and butterflies abound in summer. Blending with its surroundings outside, inside it's warm and comfortable. It's a great place for your relaxing self-catering holiday in Devon. Click the thumbnails for bigger images.
In the lodge kitchen there is a microwave and conventional (electric) oven, hob, kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. In the living area you'll find a flat screen TV and cd/DVD player.
Your bathroom has an over-the-bath electric shower, toilet, basin and full-sized bath (unlike our smaller Nuthatch and Honeysuckle Lodges, which both have short baths). We can provide towels for car free or overseas visitors.
A short walk up the road takes you to a great farm shop on the neighbouring farm. Winkleigh village is a mile and half away and has good pubs, a small convenience store and several other shops including a good butchers.
Your dogs are welcome with us! There's plenty of space for them to romp, and we can recommend great walks nearby.
After a great day exploring Devon, relax on the veranda, watch the birds on the feeders, play volleyball / babminton on the mown court, or just enjoy a BBQ near the fire pit.
