We are only 11 miles from the Royal Horticultural Society's gardens at Rosemoor, Great Torrington (01805 624067) and about 25 minutes drive from Winsford Walled Gardens (open from 1 May until end of October, postcode EX21 5XT).
Further afield
Wheatland lodges and cottages are also only an hour and a half's drive from the Eden Project in Cornwall (Postcode PL24 2SG).
